New owners and management have really improved the hotel. Rooms were very clean and the staff was helpful! Will definitely stay again
We only stayed a night. But this clerk Kisha was really sweet!! The room was clean. We ask for more towels and a blow dryer and she was right in it. So thank tou Kisha for being there to serve us
Clean room, water in the shower was hot, Nice and quiet. Would like to see a little more selection for breakfast but minor compared to the rest of my stay. Will stay again...
4/5 Pleasing We stayed in Oct2025. The Hotel Francis is a old motel with relatively new owners. You can tell they are slowly sprucing up the rooms, common areas, exterior, and parking area. It has a ways to go, but the management was very responsive. The rooms have new TVs, beds, AC units, etc, but our room did not have renovations of the bathroom, vanity, entrance, etc. You know you are in a old motel. The pool looked well kept and a families were swimming with their kids. They've made sure everything works, and I felt completely safe there. The breakfast is a modest self-serve: coffee, OJ, toast, cereal, etc. Based on my conversation with the friendly staff, the owners have great plans. In the meantime I'd stay again if I wanted to rest my head.
The staff and hotel are amazing. It's so beautiful with the pond and the trees surrounding the property! My kids love it here. If I could give the service more than 5 stars I would! Cassandra has been an absolute blessing during our stay. The rooms are newly renovated and in great condition! Will be coming back if we ever need to!
It's was a money saving deal for us . If you need more luxury, then you just pay more some where else. Got what we needed and have no reason to complain.
I logged onto the site to check for pricing for an upcoming return trip to SF. I was surprised at the negative comments but recognize each of us have different experiences and differing expectations. I stayed there summer last by simple chance and was very happy with my stay. The room was clean, spacious, the bed comfortable - I don’t do TV - so. I didn’t note any comments about the free breakfast but found it to be superb - not just a continental thingy - but a full fledged southern feast! Free! I understand they also offer a free supper, but I didn’t try it as I like to dine out. The staff was friendly. I lacked nothing so can’t comment on their service. I did suggest to put anti-slip strips in the tub as it was quite slippery - like many hotels. SF is a truly unanticipated gem, steeped in history, great cuisine and fine southern hospitality. This hotel compliments it nicely. Hope to visit soon!
